WHAT MIGHT IT BE LIKE UNDER A SUNSPOT?

    Re: SUNSPOTS

    Hi Megan,

This is an interesting thing to imagine!  If you are sitting under a sunspot, you might see a lot of churning motion (sort of like boiling water) surrounding you at a distance that might equal the radius of the Earth (some sunspots are as large or larger than the Earth).  So, you would feel much cooler than the areas that are churning at a great distance, but you would still feel very hot!  It probably wouldn't be a very pleasant experience!

    Neat question!

    Holly
