    sunspot temperature

    From, Jo-el (BC)

The outer structure of a sunspot, is it cooler, or hotter than the inner structure "umbra"?

    Re: sunspot temperature

    Hello Jo-el

The umbra is actually the darker cooler part of the sunspot. The penumbrae is the outer region of the sunpot.
